- Was engaged to Nicole Richie
- Dated Mandy Moore
- DJ'd at many celebrity events
- Battled drug-addiction to crack cocaine, and was sober for the last 9 years
- Was scheduled to appear in an MTV reality show about teen interventions.
- Suffered obeisity and depression as a youth
- Had gastric bypass surgery
- Survived a plane crash with friend Travis Barker
- Collected over 600 pairs of sneakers, including a pair of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers made just for him. His DJ AM logo appeared on the shoes.
- Was a member of the rock band Crazy Town, known for their hit "Butterfly".
- Has also scratched on albums for Papa Roach, Madonna, Will Smith, and Shifty and played concerts with Jay-Z.
